What is an Air Pressure Sex Toy? And how does it work?

Have you ever heard of an air pressure vibrator? When it comes to sex toys, many people think of the well-known vibrator, dildo, butt plug or masturbator, the classic vagina, penis and anal sex toys. Vibrations and pulsations, that's what we had to deal with, until Michael Lenke from Germany looked at the statistics on female orgasm research and noticed an orgasm gap that he knocked back style, 50% of people with a clitoris didn't orgasm . That had to change and he came up with a unique form of clitoral stimulation: Pleasure Air Technology, or an air pressure vibrator. The Womanizer saw the light in 2014 and is therefore the first sex toy in the sex toy industry that stimulates the clitoris with air pressure pulses. You see, we are eternally grateful to the best man. But how does an air pressure vibrator work? Are you guaranteed an orgasm with an air pressure vibrator and which one do you buy? You can read the answer to all your questions about the ultimate clitoral sex toy here.

How does an Air Pressure Vibrator work?

First of all, it is good to know that an air pressure vibrator is not a classic vibrator, because no vibrations are used at all. Air Pleasure Technology, as Womanizer calls its patented clitoral stimulation function, are pulsating air waves. It's basically the bef session like you've never received it from anyone and as you know it doesn't involve any vibrations either. No, an air pressure vibrator pampers the clitoris with pulsating waves and that feels a bit like your clitoris is being sucked, very gently, very quietly, just right. The air pressure vibrator has different pressure wave positions, so that you can decide for yourself how intense you want to experience this clitoral suction. Now I understand that this is completely new to you and that you may be thinking "oh what if my clitoris gets stuck?" or “does that feel just like a vacuum cleaner?”. Don't worry, air pressure vibrators are very safe and specifically designed for targeted subtle yet very effective stimulation of the clitoris.

Do you have an oversensitive clitoris?

Vibrators regularly provide overstimulation of the clitoris with their (powerful) vibrations. For some this is because the clitoris is naturally very sensitive, others experience overstimulation after long use (in one self pleasure session) of the vibrator. And we all know the nasty sensitive (almost bruised) feeling of the clitoris after orgasm. Then you would still like a round, but your clitoris says no; because ouch! and don't touch me again. An air pressure vibrator is also a solution in these scenarios. The air pressure vibrator has a special (often silicone) cap that is placed over the clitoris and surrounds it without touching it. Then gently press the cap so that a vacuum is created and the clitoris is gently sucked in. The air pressure vibrator is now in position and ready for clitoral action. Because the air pressure vibrator does not directly touch the clitoris, there is no overstimulation and you can have multiple orgasms without the clitoris becoming sensitive.

Why should I order an air pressure vibrator?

Every week I get visits in our store from women who have their hands in their hair. They can't come to an orgasm and are eagerly looking for a sex toy with which they can finally reach that climax. We all know that not every clitoris is the same and some are more sensitive than others. In addition, it is not easy for everyone to “make the orgasm happen”. Research with air pressure vibrators shows that 97% (!!!!) reach an orgasm, do I need to say more? Not shooting is always wrong, but the chance that you will come very nicely is considerable and that is worth a try.

Are there also air pressure masturbators?

Yes, of course! In early 2021, Arcwave released the Ion Pleasure Air masturbator. This is the first (and only! air pressure sex toy for the penis in the world! Arcwave Ion has a very discreet and above all mega elegant appearance and has a Smart Silence function. This means that the masturbator starts as soon as it makes contact with the skin and immediately stops again as soon as there is no contact. The air pressure stimulation of the Arcwave Ion masturbator targets the Pacinian receptors of the frenulum and this seems to be a sensational experience. It is not for nothing that Arcwave received the Reddot Award for the most innovative penis sex toy of 2021 .

The best air pressure vibrators

There are several sex toy brands that offer air pressure vibrators. If you want to have the best of the best in your home, then you're always in the right place with an air pressure vibrator from one of the WOW Tech Group. Under the WOW Tech Group umbrella are sex toy brands such as Womanizer, We-Vibe, ROMP and Arcwave. In addition, brands such as Lelo, Dame Products, Lora Dicarlo, Satisfyer and Zalo have also released air pressure vibrators. The choice is huge, shall we say.

Womanizer Air Pressure Vibrators

The classic and original air pressure vibrator is of course: the Womanizer. In fact, this is simply the very best, as they use the patented Air Pleasure Technology and the shapes of the air pressure vibrators are just right, so that they also lie perfectly in the palm of your hand and are so easy to control. Womanizer is continuously making improvements to her air pressure vibrator and that is why they have now managed to create a nice collection, with something for everyone. There is the compact Womanizer W500, the much-loved Pro40; which by the way was once recommended by Heleen van Royen, which created a real run on it. And what do you think of the Womanizer Duo and Womanizer Insideout, where the g-spot is also included (with vibrations, though). At the moment, the Womanizer Premium is the best-selling air pressure vibrator, which is also available in the Eco variant; produced from sustainable and reusable materials.

Dame Products Air Pressure Toys

In appearance, the Aer air pressure vibrator from Dame Products is a gem, what a beauty. The body of Aer is completely covered with high-quality silicone, which makes it incredibly soft on both the vulva and the palm of your hand. Aer is small and compact and has a very discreet appearance. Compared to other air pressure vibrations, Dame Aer's mouth is slightly larger, more flexible and has an oval shape. Aer therefore does not have different detachable caps (the mouth) as, for example, Womanizer and Satisfyer does, but because of her oval shape she is more suitable for different types of vulvas and her flexibility makes her suitable for almost everyone. Dame Aer is an ergonomic air pressure vibrator, which has been very well thought out about ease of use and you can also use her pressure wave stimulation for the nipples and other erogenous zones. Aer has multiple pressure wave patterns and different speeds. Instead of sucking on the clitoris, Aer uses rhythmic pulsations to stimulate blood circulation in the clitoris, making her extra sensitive to stimulation. Aer starts off nice and soft and you can build this all the way up to the air pressure setting as you like it.

Lelo Sona & Sila Air Pressure Toys

Where LELO used to be followed when it came to quality sex toys (in the store I always call it the Apple among sex toys, in terms of price :) ), they were there like the chickens when Womanizer came with the Air Pressure Technology. However, LELO didn't really know how this worked, so they came up with their own variant: Sonic Waves. Although the air pressure sex toys from LELO also go under the heading of "we suck on your clitoris and then you come nicely", it is fair to say that this is not quite the same experience at LELO. For the sake of convenience, we just lump them together, those LELO Sona and LELO Sila, because in the end the LELO Sona was the first and LELO Sila is an attempt to do better, but in the end it didn't quite turn out. As mentioned, LELO uses Sonic Waves. This means as much as they use sound waves instead of pulsating air pressure, and that feels slightly different in practice. That does not mean that they do not sell like hot cakes, because LELO remains LELO and many people still (literally) enjoy it. If you compare LELO air pressure vibrators with serious air pressure vibrators, you can say from the experience that the LELO Sona and Sila hit a little harder. They're not as subtle as you'd like and if that's what you're after, Sona and Sila aren't for you. Do you need a little more power or just a different feeling than an original Air Pressure Technology toy, then they are definitely what you want. A side note is that I think the mouths of the air pressure vibrator are almost immovable. This should just fit over your clitoris, which it really does for many clitoris holders, but if you want to clean it afterwards, you still miss the flexibility to really clean it properly. And that is less pleasant.

HULL Air Pressure Vibrators

And then ROMP suddenly fell from the sky. HULL, ever heard of it? Probably not. Does it look nice, sure. And that's because ROMP is part of the WOW Tech Group and you guessed it, so it's just a serious Air Pressure Technology air pressure vibrator because it comes from the same
